Osman is secretary of communications for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. She oversees the offices of Catholic News Service, Creative Services and Marketing, and the grant process of the Catholic Communication Campaign. Currently she is coordinating all media aspects of Pope Francis’ anticipated visit to the United States, from social media to video production to credentialing of approximately 8,000 journalists. She has addressed clergy and lay leadership in numerous U.S. dioceses, and in Rome, on digital media’s impact on Church evangelization, catechesis and communications, and is the past president of the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada. The CPA honored her with the St. Francis de Sales Award, its highest personal achievement award, in 2012.
