Religion, crime, foreign, and UN-related news. I'm a TV, web, and print journalist. I'm also a UN Observer. Started out in print 20 years ago, & soon was assigned to both a crime and God beat at the same time (while someone was out on vacation) & I loved it! When it turned out that other reporter was leaving, I asked if I could keep that unusual combination of beats. Been specializing in both ever since then. Eventually, one day my print editor said to me: "But are you really happy if you can't rub two nickels together? That's when I applied at a TV station & was hired as Associate Producer, then News Assignment Editor, and then Foreign News Assignment Editor. Still specializing in the same beats. I'm looking forward to RNA 2023!
